Parklands Quendon Hall | Jenny and Sam

Parklands Quendon Hall

Parklands, Quendon Hall is a fantastic Essex wedding venue and one that I haven’t been to in a while, so I was delighted to photograph the wedding of Jenny and Sam there back in August of this year. Jenny and Sam both prepared for their big day at Quendon Hall, which has some fabulous rooms and bedrooms complete with four post beds. Luckily for the couple the weather that day was bright and sunny as their ceremony took place outside under the beautiful Gazebo in the garden alongside the Pavilion.

Jenny was very relaxed as I photographed her having makeup and hair done prior to slipping into her beautiful wedding dress. I also had time to get some shots Sam getting ready too, which is always a lot easier when both the bride and groom get ready at the same wedding venue or hotel.

The wedding ceremony was fun yet poignant, with both Jenny and Sam outwardly showing their love and affection for each other. After the ceremony I set about capturing a few relaxed shots of the guest as they enjoyed some nice drinks and canapés at the front of the house overlooking the superb countryside that makes Parklands, Quendon Hall what it is.

On this occasion I got to eat at one of the tables with the guests during the wedding breakfast and was treated to an excellent meal, undoubtedly some of the best food I have ever tasted at a wedding venue. Following the wedding breakfast, it was back to work to photograph the speeches, always a highlight of any wedding.

After a while it was time to take the couple for a little wander around the beautiful grounds at Parklands to capture a few photographs of them alone. We also made use of some the marvellous period rooms inside to get some lovely pictures. You really are spoilt for choice at Parklands, Quendon Hall for superb vistas and marvellous backdrops suitable any event and even the grandest of weddings.

After a long day it was time for the cake cutting and first dance. This was a truly lovely wedding and one where I felt even more privileged than I normally do to photograph. .
