Recently I photographed the wedding of Sarah and Daryl at The Old Rectory, Dunton, which is just outside of Basildon in Essex. The Old Rectory is one of the most popular Essex Wedding Venues I have ever had the pleasure to visit and after this lovely wedding I certainly hope I am back there again soon. The staff are very experienced and helpful and the food is excellent. The gardens are well maintained and have some great spots for wedding photographs.
As with most of my customers Sarah and Daryl came to me after being recommended by one of their friends, which was great as it meant they had some idea of the way I work and what they could expect from their wedding photographer. Despite it being February the weather was relatively warm and dry with bright sunshine for most of the day. The only real problem with winter weddings is the lack of daylight and we certainly had to be quick to fit in all the group photographs and then the special ones of Sarah and Daryl before the wedding breakfast. Sarah and Daryl are a lovely couple who are obviously very much in love which made it a whole lot easier for me to capture the spirit and romance of the day. As with most of my weddings I photographed from bridal preparations right up to and including the first dance. On this occasion I was also accompanied by Richard from YourPerfectDay who was videoing the wedding for the happy couple. I had never worked with Richard before but we got on well and it was great working with a real professional who obviously knew his craft inside out! Below are a few of my favourite photos from this lovely wedding, hope you like!
