Recently I photographed the wedding of Katherine and Michael at the Church of the Assumption, Hanault and then Chigwell Hall. Chigwell Hall is also the home of the Metropolitan Police Sports Club and is a fantastic Essex Wedding Venue with lots of open spaces and some beautifully manicured gardens just perfect for wedding photography. Unfortunately for us although the day was relatively dry it was quite grey and overcast making for some not so pleasing lighting conditions. However, as can be seen form the photographs Katherine and Michael are a lovely looking couple and not even the weather could make them look bad.
The day started off at Katherine’s parents home in Hanault, Essex which was just a short distance from the Church. As usual I started off by photographing the bridal preparations and details such as the flowers, jewelery, wedding dress and shoes etc. From there I moved onto the Church of the Assumption where the couple were married in a lovely ceremony and I captured lots of nice images during the service. After that we moved onto Chigwell Hall to take formal photographs in the walled garden and just before a big rain shower I photographed the couple alone down by the idyllic lily pond.
My wedding photography consists of documenting the day in pictures so I photograph virtually everything apart from people eating during the wedding breakfast. Katherine and Michael’s wedding was a fantastic occasion and for me concluded with the after dinner speeches and the first dance. Below is a selection of my favourite images from this lovely wedding:
