Blake Hall Wedding
In July of last year Kelly and Adam enjoyed a fantastic Blake Hall wedding, and I was lucky enough to be hired to photograph their special day. Blake Hall, near Ongar in Essex, is a superb wedding venue, featuring some truly beautiful gardens and some lovely views over the Essex countryside. Blake Hall is always special but in July it is second to none for colour and vibrance, everywhere you look there are flowers in full bloom. Also, the staff are really friendly and helpful and as you can tell, I just love going there.
Everything about this wedding was lovely, the bride and groom, their family and friends, the wedding venue, the flowers, decorations, it was all really fun and happy day. Hopefully, you can see from the pictures how special this wedding was to photograph.
Kelly and Adam are a lovely couple and both looked fantastic on their wedding day. I got there about two hours before the wedding to capture some of the preparations as the girls got ready in the old Coach House. The boys arrived about an hour before the wedding and I got a few shots of them too before the ceremony. Kelly and her Dad were treated to a short ride in a fantastic carriage pulled by two very handsome white horses. The couple were then married in the Saddlery before they too went of for a short ride with the horse and carriage.
After I completed the formal photography I took the couple for a walk around the gardens to get a few shots of them alone. The weather that was just right with the sun popping out at all the right moments. Then, before long, it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. During the wedding breakfast I was treated to a superb meal, the food is always great at Blake Hall. Then I set about photographing the speeches, always a fun part of any wedding day. There was a little time after the speeches to get some more shots of Kelly and Adam having a playful time in a nearby freshly cut field complete with hay bales. As dusk fell it was time for the cake cutting and first dance.
Below are a few of my favourite shots from this glorious wedding:
