Hayley and Ben’s fabulous Kent Life Wedding
Kent Life is a very unique wedding venue as it is set in an open air museum and working farm and is therefore open to the public. I have photographed several weddings at this popular Kent Wedding Venue on the outskirts of Maidstone and I very much like the setting. The good thing is that later in the day when the grounds close to the public you get the whole place to yourself and there are numerous great backdrops for wedding photography.
My day started off at Hayley and Ben’s home in New Ash Green where I photographed Hayley and her bridesmaids as they got ready for the big day. Check out Haley’s lovely wedding dress and shoes in the photos below.
Hayley’s Dad provided a classic Chevrolet Impala as the wedding car which took Hayley and the others to Kent Life. The car looked superb in the bright sunshine that day and being a bit of a car nut myself I took quite a few photos of this great American classic. The couple were married in the lovely old traditional restored Ulcombe Village Hall. It was beautifully decorated with lovely fresh flowers and as can be seen from the photographs looked simply delightful. After the ceremony the couple were joined outside the hall by their family and friends for a few formal photographs before the wedding breakfast.
Later in the day when the public had gone home I took the couple for a wander round. There are numerous backdrops for some unusual wedding photographs at Kent Life including a vineyard, Kentish garden, farm yard, blacksmith’s workshop and lots more. So if you are looking for something a bit different than a golf course club house or hotel with a big garden this could be the place for you?
There are lots of examples below from this lovely wedding and I certainly hope I get to photograph another wedding soon at this very nice Kent wedding venue.
