Last week I photographed the wedding of Kim and Warren at Ashwells Sports and Country Club near Brentwood in Essex. This is only the second time that I have photographed at this popular Essex Wedding Venue, the last time was in the winter with almost four inches of snow on the ground, but the weather was much kinder on this occasion. Ashwells is a great wedding location with lots of room and some beautiful gardens with some great spots for wedding photography. The weather was warm enough to hold the ceremony outside on the large patio and shortly after the ceremony the hard working staff quickly moved all the chairs indoors to make way for some group shots. Kim and Warren kindly provided a meal for me and I can vouch for the fact that the food at this venue is particularly good and they do not scrimp on the portions!

Crabbs Barn is a delightful Essex Wedding Venue just off the A12 close to Kelvedon and was the location for my latest wedding which I photographed last Saturday for Natalie and Philip. The day started off at Natalie’s parents home in Chelmsford where I photographed the beautiful bride and brides maids as they prepared for the big day. It is a large house with some grand rooms, a superb staircase and lovely garden, which made for some perfect backdrops for my wedding photography.

Ingatestone Hall

There are some great Wedding Venues in Essex and none more so than Ingatestone Hall. The Hall stands in open countryside, one mile from the village of Ingatestone and substantially retains its original Tudor form and appearance with its mullioned windows, high chimneys, crowstep gables and oak-panelled rooms and is surrounded by ten acres of enclosed gardens comprising extensive lawns, walled garden and stew pond.

Ye Olde Plough House

Sadly only one wedding to photograph this month, but what a fantastic one it was, with some beautiful weather to match. Hayley and Neil are a lovely couple from Grays in Essex and the wedding took place at St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church in the heart of Grays. This was surprisingly the first Catholic wedding I had ever photographed and I have to say what a great occasion it was! I must confess that I am not very religious person but this truly was a wonderful occasion that I really feel privileged to have witnessed. Following the ceremony the congregation moved onto the wedding reception, which was held at Ye Olde Plough House, Bulphan which is a great wedding venue not far from Brentwood in Essex. Ye Olde Plough House has some lovely gardens with lots of mature trees and shrubs which was great as the sun was very fierce in the afternoon so having some shade came as a welcome relief, and also helped with the photography.

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Natalie and Marc at All Saints Church, Ulting, and then at their wedding reception which was held at Three Rivers Golf & Country Club near Chelmsford in Essex. We were treated to some lovely weather and with the church at Ulting set in picturesque surroundings next to a river it made some great wedding photography. As you can see from the photographs the bride and groom were delivered to the reception in a lovely carriage pulled by two beautiful horses, which was a marvelous spectacle not often seen these days.  Three Rivers Golf and Country Club is also a great setting for weddings with plenty of room and some beautiful private grounds made available for wedding photography. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful making for a smooth and pleasing experience. Here are just a few photographs from the day:
