Three Rivers Golf and Country Club was the venue for my latest wedding, that of Nicola and Jay. This is a very popular Essex Wedding Venue and one that I have photographed at before so I am well used to how things work there. Nicola and Jay were married at St. Mary & St. Margaret Church, Stow Maries which dates back to the 13th century. The church is beautiful with lots of it’s original features still in place, including the wedding registry which dates back to the eighteenth century. Three Rivers is less than half a mile from the church so just a short car journey for the Vintage Wedding Cars used by the couple and their bridesmaids.

Stock Brook Manor is a very popular Essex Wedding Venue and rightly so, as it’s simply ideal for weddings and large functions. It also has an added advantage for me, as it’s within walking distance of my home in Billericay. Recently I photographed the wedding of Andrea and Brian there and what a superb day it was. The weather was almost perfect, the bride, groom, bride’s maids, best men and ushers looked fantastic and the atmosphere was full of love. Andrea and Brian are a wonderful couple who are obviously madly in love and full of affection for each other, which I’m sure comes out in the photos. I even spotted a few tears here and there, even from Brian, which is always a great sign of the emotion involved. I couldn’t write about this wedding without mentioning the speeches. I hear lots of speeches and these were certainly second to none and had me crying with laughter, so, so funny; I do hope someone recorded them. From a photography point of view I mentioned that the weather was ‘almost perfect’ the only slight problem was the brilliant sunshine which made it awkward to avoid people squinting in photos. Luckily Stock Brook has lots of great location to help photographers like find shade or spots where people do not have to face the sun.

Stoke by Nayland Hotel near Colchester is a new Essex Wedding Venue for me, but what a lovely venue for a wedding it is. I photographed the wedding of Jade and Adam there in September and it was a lovely day with nice sunny weather just right for wedding photography. Jade and Adam are a lovely couple who, as can be seen from the photographs, are madly in love. Their family and friends were treated to a fantastic occasion made all the more pleasurable by the very friendly and helpful staff at Stoke by Nayland Hotel, who are obviously well used to organising and running weddings.

Leez Priory is one of my favourite Wedding Venues in Essex, every time I go there I find something new to photograph or spot to use that I haven’t used before. Recently I photographed the wedding of Kim and Paul at this prestigious Essex Wedding Venue on what turned out to be one of the best days (weather wise) of the year. What was even better is that Kim and Paul were kind enough to pay for a meal for me, which was great, as the food there is second to none. Paul’s son was his best man, and for someone so young he delivered one of the best speeches I have ever heard and I have heard quite a few in my time. This was a lovely wedding and it was a great privilege for me to be a small part in Kim and Paul’s special celebration; here are few of my favourite images from the day:

Down Hall Country House Hotel was the venue for Samantha and Glenn’s wedding, a couple from Harlow that booked me a few months ago to photograph their special day. It was the second time in just over a week that I had visited this popular Essex Wedding Venue and hopefully it will not be the last, as this is a truly magnificent place for a wedding and above all Wedding Photography. Dating back to 1322, this impressive Italianate mansion is an historic setting. The hotel’s luxury interiors, ornate ceilings and abundance of natural daylight make for an impressive experience.
