For the second weekend in a row I photographed a wedding in Kent, this time it was the turn of Kelly and Jon to have my lens pointed at them. I love going to Kent, the garden of England, it’s a beautiful county with lots of character and historic places to visit. As usual I started off by photographing the bridal preparations before moving onto the church, St Paul’s in Swanley Village. St Paul’s is a beautiful church which is full of character and old style charm. Kelly and Jon had chosen their friends band to play the music for the hymns which as you can imagine was very upbeat and fun. We photographed all the group shots at the church before driving the twenty miles or so to the reception in Maidstone.
Kelly and Jon had chosen Kits Coty Brasserie on the outskirts of Maidstone for their reception, which is a very friendly and stylish place for a wedding reception. Both Keely and Jon got quite emotional during the speeches which I managed to capture in some of the photographs. As can be seen from the photos below there are some nice areas in and around Kits Coty which can be used as a backdrop for wedding photographs. I love photographing weddings and I really enjoyed this one, Kelly and Jon are a great couple who are very obviously in love and it was a real privilege to capture their very special day for them. Here are a few of my favourite images from the day:
