Back in September I photographed Emma and Ian’s lovely Kent Wedding at St Martins Church, Eynsford and Pedham Place Golf Centre, Swanley. Eynsford is a beautiful place for a wedding with not only a lovely church but also a very picturesque village green, cricket pitch and meandering stream thrown in for good measure. Luckily as can be seen from the photographs we were also treated to the most perfect weather that day, with big blue skies and lots of sunshine, something of a rarity this year.
These days most of my work comes from recommendation and this how I was commissioned to photograph this wedding as Ian was the best man at another wedding I photographed in Kent the last year. I really do enjoy photographing in Kent as it really is a beautiful county and I’m always finding new treasures that I’ve never visited before; Eynsford is one of those places.
After the service we made full use of all the beauty spots in Eynsford for some photographs of Emma and Ian, including Ian’s beloved cricket club and pitch where the greens-man had set up a wicket and provided a bat for the couple to pose with for a photograph or two. From there it was onto Pedham Place Golf Centre for the wedding reception. This is a relatively new Wedding Venue in Kent but none the less is very nice, with some great spots for good wedding photography. There is plenty of space for large formal group shots and lots of other areas with nice backdrops for photographs of the bride and groom alone. The foliage is a bit sparse in places but I’m sure that will improve as time goes by.
During the wedding breakfast I was very kindly treated to a meal paid for by Emma and Ian and I can vouch or the fact that the food at Pedham is very good. I photographed right up to and including the first dance, which is included in all my wedding packages. I really enjoyed this wedding, not only because Emma and Ian were a great couple to photograph, but also having the opportunity of photographing in Kent, a county I really enjoy visiting. Here are just a few of my favourite images from the day:
