Laura Ashley The Manor Hotel Wedding
Last year I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Ria and Jonathan at the Laura Ashley The Manor Hotel, Elstree. This hotel features some stunning views of London, although on this day it was a little hazy and wet somewhat masking out the lovely view. This was my second wedding at this prestigious Hertfordshire Wedding Venue, formerly known as The Manor Hotel, and one that I thoroughly enjoyed despite the rather dull weather that day.
I began a few miles away in Borehamwood at Ria’s parents home where I photographed Ria as she prepared for her big day. From there I moved onto the hotel for some photographs with Jonathan and his parents whilst they waited with the other guests. Ria arrived at the hotel on time with her Dad and I grabbed a few photographs before they went in for the ceremony. The couple were married in the company of their family and friends in a lovely ceremony full of love and emotion.
After the wedding I set about photographing the formal photographs which, on this occasion, had to be done inside due to the unpredictable English weather. Fortunately the hotel lobby is quite large and has rather a nice feature fireplace which acts as a nice backdrop for photographs. Before long the weather improved and we managed to get a few shots outside in the lovely gardens of The Manor Hotel.
Much to the delight of all their family and friends Ria and Jonathan made a grand entrance set to music to their wedding breakfast. This brings me onto the food at the hotel which, I can honestly say is superb.
There were lots of nice moments from this wedding but one of the most memorable was the launch of the lanterns from the lower garden chessboard. It is difficult to choose the best pictures from this wedding as there were so many, but I have included just a few of my favourites below:
