Braxted Park Wedding
Having photographed several school proms at Braxted Park this was my first wedding at this lovely Essex Wedding Venue. There are very few wedding venues with a church on site, yet the local parish church, All Saints, Great Braxted, is to be found within the grounds of Braxted Park and it was there that Hannah and Ben were married.
However, my day started off with photographs of Hannah and her bridesmaids as they prepared for the big day at Le Bouchon Brasserie & Hotel in Heybridge, Essex. This was rather a cramped affair with several makeup artists, a hairdresser, videographer, myself and my assistant trying to work in and around the girls in a small bedroom; quite funny actually.
With the bridal prep photographs done is was off to All Saints Church in Braxted Park to capture some pictures of the boys before Hannah arrived with her Dad in the wedding car. As can be seen from the photos Ben, his best men and ushers looked very dashing in their morning suits. The vicar was quite insistent that we could only photograph from the back of the church, none the less we still captured some nice moments.
With the happy couple duly married we all travelled the short distance for the reception at the marquee in the walled garden. The staff at Braxted Park are very professional knowing exactly what to do and where to direct people. We started off with a large group photograph on the steps up to the walled garden. Then everyone was directed to line the path leading to the side entrance of the walled garden so that Hannah and Ben could run the gauntlet of confetti throwing.
During the wedding breakfast my assistant (on this occasion my daughter Candice) and I enjoyed a lovely meal supplied by the caterers at Braxted Park. It was then time for the speeches, which on this occasion were particularly fun and poignant. With the speeches completed we took Hannah and Ben off for some more photographs of them alone along the main entrance to the park, this included a few shots with the bluebells as a backdrop in the woods.
Finally it was time for the first dance, this was a spectacular affair as Hannah and Ben had rehearsed a lovely first dance routine that really showed off their dancing skills and Hannah’s lovely wedding dress. Below are a few of my favourite photographs from this lovely wedding day and if you are looking for an Essex Wedding Photographer please go to my main website for more details.
