Ye Olde Plough House Weddings are very popular and in August this year I photographed the reception of Jan and Tony there. Ye Olde Plough House is Situated in the village of Bulphan on the main A128 roughly half way between Brentwood and Grays in Essex.
Jan and Tony actually live in Australia but managed to find my me online searching through google for Essex Wedding Photographers. The couple emigrated there a few years ago but wanted to come back here to get married so they could be with all their family and friends. They were married at St Mary’s Church, which is a beautiful old church set in picturesque village of Bulphan. However, as can be seen from the photographs the day started off at Jan’s sisters home where I photographed Jan as she prepared for her big day. From there it was onto Bulphan for pictures of Tony and his best man and the wedding it self. Ye Olde Plough House is about a five minute journey from the church and it was to there next for all the formal photographs.
The well manicured gardens at Ye Olde Plough House are excellent for wedding photography and we were very lucky with the weather that day as remained bright and sunny virtually all day. So after the formal group photography we set about getting a few special shots of the happy couple making good use of all the space and special places within the extensive grounds. For me the day ended with the first dance, but I am assured that Jan, Tony and all their guest had a great time celebrating their wedding well into the night. Below are a few of my favourite photos from the day:
