Wedding at Crondon Park
I have photographed many weddings at Crondon Park in Essex, but none so far in such wintery conditions. Victoria and Keith were married earlier this year at this very popular Essex Wedding Venue on a very cold and snowy day. However, despite the weather nothing could detracted from the warmth and love that this lovely couple have for each other.
The day started off on Canvey Island where I photographed Victoria at her parents home as she prepared for her big day. From there it was on to Crondon Park through the snow storms which at that stage were not too bad. Fortunately Crondon Park has good heating and plenty of space for guests to get out of the cold and into warm and friendly surroundings.
Due to the bad weather it was not possible to take all the guests outside for the formal shots, so as I carry studio lights I set them up inside for the group photographs. The staff were very helpful and move all the chairs from ceremony room to one side so that we could take all the formal photographs. Victoria and Keith however braved the sleet and snow for a few photographs with the wedding car and by the frozen fountain, a relatively new feature at Crondon Park.
As with all winter weddings it gets dark quickly, so it wasn’t long before we were all inside for the wedding breakfast. Victoria and Keith were kind enough to provide a meal for me, which was great because the food a Crondon Park is excellent.
Victoria and Keith have lots of family and friends and were very much into getting lots of photographs that included them all, which will be great for the wedding album. So after the wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches, always a fun time. Something a little unusual was that during the speeches Keith took a phone call from a good friend in Australia who obviously couldn’t be there.
All in all this was a fantastic wedding featuring a truly lovely couple and despite the inclement weather everyone I’m sure a great time. If you are looking for a wedding photographer in Essex please go to my main website for more information.
