Stock Brook Manor Weddings
Recently I photographed the wedding of Karen and Matthew at St Giles Church, Orsett and then Stock Brook Manor, Billericay. St. Giles and All Saints is the parish church for Orsett and part of the United Benefice of Orsett, Bulphan and Horndon-on-the-Hil. Karen and Matthew are a lovely couple with two beautiful children and a third on the way. Their wedding was a simple, but lovely service celebrated with all their family and friends.
After the service it was onto Stock Brook Manor for the wedding reception. Stock Brook Manor is a very popular Essex Wedding Venue and rightly so. I have photographed several weddings and social events there and it’s always a pleasure to go back. The service is exceptional with well trained and helpful staff that go out of their way to provide a fantastic wedding service. The other good thing about this wedding venue is that it’s only a few minutes from my home, so not far to go after a long day photographing.
Stock Brook has lots of fantastic backdrops for wedding photos and I always try to make good use of them all. To start with I photographed the whole wedding party on the lawn overlooking the golf course and luckily we were treated to some good weather. After whittling the group photographs down to just Karen and Matt it was time to take them off for a few photographs on there own. Conscious of the fact that it’s a wedding and not a photo shoot I never take my couples away for too long. Normally there’s always time after the wedding breakfast for more photos should they be required.
On this occasion I was treated to a meal during the wedding breakfast and as ever the food was excellent. After the wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches, always a fun and sometimes emotional time. Finally it was time for the cake cutting and first dance where Karen and Matthews eldest daughter took centre stage; such a great little dancer!
