Pontlands Park Weddings
Back in August I photographed the Wedding of Filippa and Stuart at Pontlands Park Hotel, Chelmsford, Essex. This was my first time at this popular Essex Wedding Venue, but I certainly hope it will not be the last. I have known Filippa and Stuart for a few years now as Filippa is a keen horse women and stables her horse at the same place as my wife keeps her four legged friend. My wife and I were also lucky enough to be invited to the evening reception, which turned out to be really good fun.
However, the day for me started off at the couple’s home in Hutton where I photographed Filippa and her bridesmaids as they prepared for the big day.
The couple were married at the lovely All Saints Church in Hutton Village, Essex. The little church was completely full with the couples family and friends to witness them getting married. From Hutton the couple set of to Pontlands Park Hotel in a lovely Bentley for the wedding reception.
Luckily the weather that day wasn’t too bad so we were able to make good use of the lovely gardens at Pontlands Park for the drinks reception and formal photographs. There are some really nice backdrops in the gardens for both formal and informal wedding photography. Once I had all the group photographs taken I took Filippa and Stuart away for some pictures of them alone.
As ever the time simply flew by and before long it was time for the receiving line and wedding breakfast. Filippa and Stuart were kind enough to pay for a meal for me so I can vouch for the quality of the food at Pontlands; it is very good!
After the meal came the speeches, always a fun and sometimes poignant time and these were no exception. With the speeches completed it was time for the cake cutting and first dance.
This was a fantastic wedding for a lovely couple and I thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of photographing it. Below are a few of my favourite images from the day, some of which also made it into the wedding album.
