Crabbs Barn is a delightful Essex Wedding Venue just off the A12 close to Kelvedon and was the location for my latest wedding which I photographed last Saturday for Natalie and Philip. The day started off at Natalie’s parents home in Chelmsford where I photographed the beautiful bride and brides maids as they prepared for the big day. It is a large house with some grand rooms, a superb staircase and lovely garden, which made for some perfect backdrops for my wedding photography.
It is a short journey from Chelmsford to Kelvedon and on this occasion there were no hold ups on the notorious A12; always a worry when photographing a wedding! At Crabbs Barn I met with Philip and the excellent managers there, Steve and Tracy. There was just enough time to photograph Phil and best man Matt along with the two ushers before the bride and her entourage arrived in a very nice stretched limousine.
I cannot stress how well Crabbs Barn is run, the day was completely hassle free and went like clockwork, and to top it all my assistant and me were treated to a very nice three course meal, which was completely unexpected. Although slightly overcast for most of the day the rain held off and we were able to make full use of the lovely grounds and gardens. Below is a selection of my favourite images from the day.
