Blake Hall Wedding Photography
Blake Hall is one of my most favourite places for Wedding Photography. Close to the Essex town of Ongar it boasts some fantastic gardens and facilities. Almost purpose built for weddings you could not ask for a better place to hold your wedding and reception.
Unfortunately for Louisa and Dean the weather on their wedding day was somewhat overcast and we were even treated to the odd light shower. However, the weather could not dampen the spirits of Louisa and Dean who are so obviously in love.
I began by photographing Louisa and her bridesmaids as they prepared for the big day in the Old Coach House, which is just perfect, with large airy rooms and great facilities. After about an hour the boys arrived in Dean’s Dad’s Taxi so I left the girls to finish while I got a few photographs with the boys.
Despite the rather threatening weather the wedding took place outside in the Saddlery, which is close to the main barn. With Dean just holding back his emotions the couple were married in front of their delighted family and friends.
There is plenty of space at Blake Hall for large group photographs so not long after the wedding ceremony I got everyone gathered to work through the formal photographs. For this wedding I was joined by James Garrett from HNE Media who was filming the wedding for Louisa and Dean.
With all the formal photographs completed it was time for a short tour of the extensive Gardens for some photographs of Louisa and Dean on their own. No matter what time of the year you are simply spoilt for choice for lovely backdrops at Blake Hall.
Before long it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The food at Blake Hall is always very good and Louisa and Dean were very kind to treat me to a nice meal. Then last but not least it was the first dance. The couple had organised a great band for their evening entertainment and when I left everyone was having a great time.
Here’s a few of the photographs the couple have chosen for their wedding album:
